Abbotsford Quilters' Guild is celebrating their 20th Anniversary and will be
hosting a OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 11 am to 8 pm.
We will feature a variety of our guilds contributions to our communities
other needs such as The New Beginnings Progam at our local High Schools, our contributions to Transition House in Abbotsford
and in Mission, and the quilts that we provide to Abbotsford Regional Hospital for premature babies.
Our members have much to show you about what our guild has done through the years
from 1989 to 2009. There will be displays of various quilt projects and for those wishing an introduction to quilting
we will have members demonstrating a variety of HOW TO's
Displays will include a display of members summer challenge quilts , a display
of donation quilts for local charities, the Quilts of Valour quilts that we work on, and a variety of quilting demonstrations.
Featured will be a Raffle quilt specially made for this event -- buy a few tickets
(they go on sale in August 2009) and take home this special quilt for your bed, maybe...
We invite former members and everyone who woud like to come and visit and
receive a special welcome.
There will be refreshments and treats all day from 11am til 8pm at Ross
